Today we said goodbye to Moab. After breakfast we started towards Panguitch, but a short time after leaving Moab we made a surprise visit in the Canyonlands National Park. This one left also a permanent impression, because of the deep canyons where one can get very near to, the vastness of the landscape and the many different colors. At picnic we had fun with some chipmunks who loved getting feeded by us. Really cute, these small animals!

Then we went on for a long trip, 3.5 hours lay before us. The most part went over I-70, where we again were accompanied by the diversified nature. One moment you had a very far sight, then the mountains were directly beside of us. In the distance we saw snowy summits again and again, from time to time they were lighted by the sun - looked really great! A long, steep ascent brought us to about 2500 meters in height, after this it went nearly only downhill until leaving the freeway. Then we had to go another 60 miles until reaching today's motel. Here we got - for the first time in our vacation - a family suite, nearly a house, with 3 king-size beds within 2 rooms, a sofa bed in another room, 2 bath rooms and a kitchenette. And as we realized we have spend a night here 7 years ago already.

For diner we went to the Flying M Restaurant, where we were already at earlier visits in Panguitch. The meals were tasty, so we decided to go here the next day again. Only one of us was not totally happy - she apparently got a childs portion.

Following this we went for gasoline and bought some groceries, also some beer had to go into the shopping cart, and we spent a nice evening.
