After breakfast - due to the lack of alternatives at Denny's again - we started towards the west coast.

Eventually we wanted to have a stopover in an old ghost town. But there was some event taking place, and there wasn't any chance to come into town. A very 'nice' lady refused any information and we had to go backwards using the reverse gear - not even making a turn-over was possible. So much for that. And so we drove on that twisting road.

Before reaching Eureka there is a small azalea park, but as the blooming season is already over there wasn't much to see there. So we quite early were at the motel, a very pleasant Super 8, and could even check in. This way we had won some time today for some shopping and fun at and in the pool.

For dinner we went to a Chinese buffet which should actually be under the top 100 Chinese restaurants around the U.S.A. – well, we had better meals. It was OK, but not really worth mentioning.

As an exception we have no pictures today.
